No Country For Old Men is a 2007 neo-Western crime thriller film written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen based on Cormac McCarthy's novel.
For this project, the focus is on creating a nail biting score that matches the mood of the scene. The short clip is a chase, where the subject falls over a ledge as he's being pursued. There is a river scene which I've used minimal but ambient elements for, which is then layered to produce an amalgamation of different textures. In order to further accentuate the final action where the subject shoots a dog, there is a deafening silence.
Logic Pro X was used for this project, with The Free Orchestra by Project Sam sounds.
