My effect experiment consisted of a short loop I created for a track that already had some delay effect. I went through the 6T Max 8 folder and tried different ones to see which one I would find interesting to do, and I ended up pitch shifting!
6H.1 & 6H.2 are the pitch shift patches, and I tried both.
The first patch, (6H.1) is a pretty good demonstration of dealing with both speed and direction for the head of a playhead moving, so this particular patch outlines what would happen. Personally I liked running my sound through the opposite direction, same velocity/speed (setting #2, the descrip is in Italian) setting which produced a much faster loop, at an octave higher (12 semitones)
The second patch, (6H.2) with a recording entitled "pitch shift sweet spot exploration", is where I searched for the sweet spot when you shift the sound up 5 semitones and mixed the dry/wet signals. I've found some good spots that isn't too muddy on either end for my sound @ 0.65ms or 0.8ms or 0.2ms respectively. At the end of the recording, I go back to the original sound I had. It's pretty cool thinking about all these other factors and how something so slight could change the sound completely!
